The National Alliance to End Homelessness is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to mobilize the nonprofit, public and private sectors of society in an alliance to end homelessness.• Track, analyze and create national and state legislation regarding issues such as Medicaid, mental health, substance use treatment and other health related topics• Assume lead in establishing and maintaining relationships with partner organizations and federal agencies to ensure coordination and collaboration in key health programs serving homeless individuals and families• Research innovative programs throughout the U.S. and create documents highlighting these programs• Supervised interns working on health related topics• Facilitate communication of pertinent issues to Alliance partners and the general public (via newsletter, e-mail, web page, papers, etc.)• Assist in the planning and implementation of the Alliance Annual Meeting and developing workshops, meetings, and other skills building opportunities
