With extensive legal experience under my belt, I've worn many hats along the way.My adventures include work as a former Compliance Officer for a Fortune 20 company, a Litigator navigating the complexities of plaintiff and defense employment law, a Legislative Director shaping policies for an elected government commission, a passionate DEI Advocate and Trainer for a national non-profit corporation, a Legal Services attorney advocating for the disadvantaged and Counsel on a real estate timeshare development project in the Netherlands Antilles. Currently, I'm honored to serve as Of Counsel to RC Charles Esquire, a boutique law firm where I get to dive into exciting entrepreneurial projects and support start-ups to medium-sized businesses. From founding Ecquinabis, a cannabis-hemp DEI consulting firm to spearheading a luxury hemp cosmetic wellness brand called MRNG, the entrepreneurial spirit runs deep within me. In addition, I'm the lead international business development partner for The Mavins Group, a move management and real estate company, I bring a global perspective to the table. Having been born overseas, and lived and worked in diverse places, like Amsterdam, Suriname, and Curacao, these experiences have shaped my approach to people, law and business.At heart, I'm all about helping clients bring their visions to life. Whether it's implementing business initiatives, structuring policies for profitability, or ensuring quality metrics through automation, I'm here to guide every step of the way. My work style? It's a blend of passion, innovation, and a strong commitment to properly balance legal compliance and risk management.With a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor's degree from Rutgers University-Douglass College, my journey in law has been rich and fulfilling. And in 2023, I wrapped up an Executive Education Certificate Program in Sustainable Capitalism and ESG from the University of California Berkeley School of Law, further deepening my expertise. I'm proud that I completed my 4th marathon, the 48th Marine Corps Marathon in October 2023!
