In this manner a thorough understanding of, and ability to manipulate the English language with ease is a skill that is versatile in any industry. With a creative background in studying and mastering music, drama, and writing, my primary interests lie in communicating messages, emotions, stories, and lessons through both creative means and more formal formats. Knowing your audience and adapting your approach to suit them is key.Driven, organised and sociable, I work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Experience in Theatre Production Management both voluntarily and professionally has proven my leadership and organisational skills to be of an exceptionally high standard as I have won awards for my work both locally and nationally. I am currently working as a Technical Writer for Johnson Controls; authoring, editing, publishing, and managing technical documentation for the Ducted Systems Residential Business Unit. This involves detailed collaboration with engineering, technical services, product management, printing partners, and the programme management team to schedule and prioritise projects, troubleshoot issues, facilitate compliance updates under time pressure, and to manage documentation version control.Within the Technical Communications department I facilitate active training and the creation of training resources for our publishing platform, Knowledge Exchange. These presentations and demonstrations have been given for colleagues within my department, for field technicians installing our units in the United States, and for stakeholders in the company.I am also an active member of the Sustainability Business Resource Group in Johnson Controls, and I am the administrator and a LAYA Healthcare trained member of the "Support Squad", a dedicated team of Mental Health First Aiders within the company.
