Everyone wants to communicate effectively. Ah, but it’s not that easy. That’s where my passion comes in.There is nothing more energizing than helping individuals and groups understand how they can more effectively communicate the things that are important to them. I have experience both in the classroom and in the boardroom, one on one and in front of large groups. Communication is my thing.There are a few areas that have propelled my current work:1. Organization Development: Using the theories and strategies learned from over 20 years of research and teaching, I bring an informed and fun approach to working with executives, teams, and organizations. 2. Remote Leadership: I am currently doing research, writing, and speaking related to the challenge of managing in a remote workplace. A whole new type of work requires a whole new kind of management. 3. Public Speaking: I teach courses, conduct workshops, and coach individuals to become better public speakers. With over 20 years of experience, I am skilled at coming along side speakers to help them develop their own voice and their own style as they communicate messages that are important to them.4. Eldercare: My recent scholarly work examines issues related to eldercare and caregiving. Working with teams of scholars, I have looked at the impact of COVID on Direct Service Providers and cultural impacts on attitudes toward the role of family caregivers.
