The Membership Engagement Manager provides Membership support through membership administration, event planning and management, and volunteer management. Planning and managing logistics for in-person and virtual events, including board meetings, conference panels and social events are key responsibilities. This position continues to build on the Association's strong sense of community and connection with thoughtful and meaningful communications to promote member benefits, recruit new member schools, and increase engagement of existing members.

As Donation Drive Coordinator I was responsible for coordinating all food drives including State, corporate, individual, and retail drives. This involved communicating with all donors, arranging transportation for delivery and pick up of donation barrels, record keeping and reporting.As Donation Recovery Coordinator I was responsible for pairing Sacramento County grocery stores with one of SFBFS' partner agencies to pick up edible food donations on a weekly basis. This entailed communication with local food pantries, grocery donors and the regional Feeding America representative as well as reporting to all interested parties. With the introduction of SB1383 I was tasked with providing input, reporting, and discussion on grocery recovery with Sacramento County jurisdictions.

I was responsible for providing administrative support in preparation of correspondence, reports, confidential materials and various employment issues. I mantained staff records and reported payroll to an outside payroll company.As the HR coordinator I implemented and coordinated all staff benefits including the 401k program, and all medical, dental and life insurance benefits. I worked closely with CSEA’s Third Party Administrator. I maintained employee records and a thorough filing system, both in paper and electronically. I consulted with the Executive Vice President on Society policies and procedures and state and federal employment laws and communicated these policies to staff.Under the advisement of the EVP, I assisted in coordinating hiring and recruitment, preparing or revising job descriptions, qualifying applicants for interviews and scheduling interviews. Processing paperwork for new employees and processing paperwork for terminated/resigned employees were also part of my duties. I was responsible for keeping the employee handbook up to date and legally relevant as well as keeping the staff roster current.

As the Meeting planning assistant at CBIA I worked closely with the Director of Governance and Communications to plan and execute 3 sessions of Committee and Board meetings throughout the year.

At AT&T wireless I served as the main point of contact for a select group of Major Account customers and assisted them with all aspects of customer service from technical to billing issues.
