Peggy Berry Consulting provides hands-on fundraising expertise, coaching and services to nonprofit organizations seeking to raise more money and grow sustainable development programs. My experience, insight and personalized attention help organizations achieve their fundraising goals and fulfill their mission. Consulting services include board training, strategic planning, fund development assessments and plans, major gifts, capital campaigns, annual fund drives, direct mail, prospect identification and evaluation, cultivation and stewardship plans, building a development team, grant writing training, and establishing gift policies and development office systems. Coaching services are provided to executive directors and development directors. Peggy was the first development director of the East Texas Food Bank, establishing and growing the development department from a part-time position to a department of five staff, while increasing private sector support for the organization. During Peggy’s tenure at the East Texas Food Bank, the donor base increased from 1,000 donors to more than 30,000 donors throughout 26 counties. In 2005, she led the ‘Freeze Out Hunger’ capital campaign, raising over $4 million dollars to build one of the largest cold storage facilities in the food bank network. The capital campaign also led to a $1 million gift to establish the East Texas Food Bank Foundation. Other strategic initiatives included campaigns to raise funds for a $660,000 Westside Dock capital project, $372,000 technology project and $1.02 million Tyler Independent School District Backpack campaign. Two of these initiatives led to two national awards from Feeding America – Fundraising Program of the Year and Technology Project of the Year. Peggy is known as a results-driven nonprofit manager responsible for initiating and implementing innovative programs and fundraising strategies that serve both the nonprofit organization and the interests of donors. Peggy is known for her ability to win community support, develop key coalitions, with measureable outcomes, and build relationships with a shared sense of purpose.
