After 42 years in the broadcasting world I have exited stage left to take on a full time production of guiding two 18 year old grandchildren into a career path, and spending my free time with the littlest grandchildren in my life who are just now 4 years old.Of course it is difficult to find enough to keep myself as busy as I was, right now, but I am sure with time, it will fall into place. Supervised a fully automated multi-cast facility which emerged into HDTV . Daily operations, trained staff, troubleshot any technical problems and corrected or advised. Wrote SOP for new equipment as it was interfaced. Performed engineering duties in absence of engineers. Handled and emergency transcoding or endoding necessary in absence of media group.

Facility support for Haris automated multicast NOC with Seachange servers. Digibeta cam, linear and non-linear edit bay engineering support and repairs

March 1995 – December 2000 (5 years 10 months) Facility maintenance to include studio camera, Vinten robotics, GV Switchers, Profile servers, Chyron, HAL, Quantel , Avid edit systems, ENG camera and microwave truck and site maintenance. Adept at transmission room operations and full news broadcast along with live sports and award shows.

Studio engineer. Resposible for Ikee studio camera, maintenance and daily appearance for all newscasts and shows.General repairs on video tape,,audio equipment. Spearheaded new install on routing switcher in faclity, to include all documentation.Chyron repair
