I am a Health IT Strategist with experience in training adult learners through online and face to face instruction. I have developed training on a variety of Health IT topics, such as EHR system selection, health information exchange, telemedicine, and meaningful use. After starting my healthcare career as a dental hygienist, I later moved into pharmaceutical sales. I founded a dental supply company, Diversified Dental Sales (DDS), to combine my passion for sales with my dental background. After six years, I sold the company to Benco Dental to pursue another passion, for education. I spent the next few years authoring curriculum and training programs for various businesses until returning to the dental industry as an educational seminar specialist for Oral B.In June 2011, I completed the Minnesota Health Information Technology Training Program. I aim to leverage my talents for technology as well as my expertise in creating and delivering training to optimize the use of Electronic Health Records in medical and dental practices.
