Responsible for planning and executing all Thrive Washington’s fundraising events. Staffed and facilitated the Fund Development board committee and team to build a mid-to-major ($1,000 +) donor program aimed at diversifying Thrive’s revenue to increase support from individuals. Created and implemented a streamlined donor cultivation cycle to increase donor retention. Provided stewardship to a lapsed major donor resulting in a $450,000 gift to Thrive Washington.

Recruited and managed a group of 100 volunteers to hold the first annual Jim Marsh Classic, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. The first annual tournament held in August 2015, on the streets of Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood, drew more than 100 teams/400 players of all skill levels, ages 8 to 48 and raised funds for youth mentoring programs.Worked with local Tribal leaders to successfully introduce mentoring as a strategy to help Native American youth benefit from the mentorship of a caring adult outside their community.Successfully solicited the support of the Bank of America Corporate Foundation in 2006 to form the Bank of America Mentoring Initiative, a strategic partnership between Washington State Mentors and Bank of America to invest more than $620,000 in youth mentoring programs. Responsible for end-to-end grantmaking procedures related to the Bank of America Mentoring Initiative from writing guidelines and request for proposal to review protocol and administration of grants.Cultivated and managed corporate and foundation partnerships with organizations such as Bank of America Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Sound Transit, The Raikes Foundation and Holland America Line. Worked with the Office of the Lieutenant Governor to successfully pass Senate Bill 5152 creating special license plate sales for the Seattle Sounders FC in 2013.
