As Assistant Curator my responsibilities are; - Training student staff and volunteers on curatorial and interpretive tasks- Maintaining permanent and temporary exhibits- Creating temporary exhibits to be displayed in public buildings in town- Creating and delivering public and education programming- Perform curatorial duties- cataloging, re-housing and re-organization, preventative conservation- Administration role for the museum- Expanding the museums social media programming and reach

As Lead Historian my responsibilities were; - Supervising and training interpretive staff- Daily operations of the Historic Site and Visitor Welcome Center- Creating, delivering, and evaluating new programming for audiences of all ages, learning abilities, and interests - Maintaining museum exhibits and creating new interactive activities - Working with other Provincial Park employees to deliver a safe and comfortable experience at Wasaga Beach - Continually expanding my knowledge on the War or 1812 and local history

My responsibilities included;- Greeting visitors - Answer guests questions about the surrounding area and museum- Provided administrative support to museum employees (write grants, respond to emails, answer phones)- Ringing in gift shop purchases- Assisted people in renewing or obtaining a museum membership- Signed people up for special events and openings

As a Historical Assistant I:-Lead education programs-Created the ground work for a new exhibit, including supporting research-Assisted in the creation and execution of special events such as Night in the Museum and Wasaga Under Siege-Toured guests around the historic site-Provided customer service in the welcome center-Was apart of the team that performed conservation work on the HMS Nancy

A museum assistant role where I was invol ex in many different aspects of daily museum operation.
