Humans love stories. Deep inside, we are all storytellers. The trick is turning those storytelling skills to our advantage in all the areas of life where we need to communicate by the written word. I am an editor. I used to spend my time tracking down elusive glitches in mountains of software spaghetti code. Now I enjoy tracking down rogue commas and dangling participles.I am a tutor. Writing is a skill. Most of the time, people write far better than they think they do. I like to help them see their own gifts and give them the confidence to excel.Writing in English as a second language is challenging. Sometimes, writing in English as a first language is challenging. But it is not a challenge that should keep anyone from their dreams. My clients speak many languages other than English as a first language. Many of my clients are adults who are back in school for the first time in years. They are learning to navigate writing academically.
