Responsibe for guidance, oversight and compliance for the newly created Business Resiliency Department. Devevelop and manage diverse team in a complex governance model for execution of Board sponsored emergency management initiatives. Developed/implemented processes and procedures for budgets, projects, corrective actions following emergency management activations/exercises, metrics, scorecards, and executive management reporting. Developed and implemented a best practice programs (as assessed by INPO) for Leadership Assessments for all chiefs to include IDP’s in leader PDP’s. Developed and implemented an Executive Review Board to be used in conjunction with SONGS regulatory requirements and disciplinary policies. Provided overall human resources project management for business transformation/project efficiency initiative. Designed and implemented an overall HR Programs SIBP plans for SONGS that included working collaboratively with SONGS line management to include: Attendance Policy, Leader Toolkit, Succession Planning, Disciplinary Policy, MARC training/protocols & OR.2-1. Created Leadership Academy One-Stop HR aligned training program. Implemented Workforce Engagement Surveys with follow up mechanisms to support team. Conducted organizational effectiveness survey to implement performance management system. Change Management projects focused on strategic planning with tactical implementation plans. Managed the OR.2-1 Organizational Effectiveness project as outlined by the INPO AFI in Leadership & Development.

• Responsible for leading the design and development of the Annuities and Mutual Funds Program Management Office.• Created innovative methodologies and techniques to ensure continuous process improvement for large scale projects. • Headed up the Omaha expansion project that included redomiciling of Pacific Life from the state of California to Nebraska to obtain $150M premium tax savings. • Worked closely with the legal, real estate, tax, finance and human resources teams to determine location for Omaha project; negotiated the lease, hired and oversaw the build out of 100,000 sq ft in downtown Omaha for 400 staff members.

• Responsible for the overall guidance and direction of the Operations Management Teams with 300 staff members and a budget of $33M. • Led the #1 Call Center and Operations in the industry (as rated by DALBAR) by seamlessly supporting $10B in annual variable annuity and mutual funds sales with $60B in assets under management, 600,000 contract owners, 125,000 registered reps and over 1000 Broker/Dealers. • Responsible for developing creative strategies and innovative employee programs for attracting, motivating and retaining quality management and staff to support 22 different types of products and 17 different types of riders. • Formulated long range plans to provide excellent service and efficient technological business solutions to improve processing to strengthen our competitive position.

• Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a tactical infrastructure within the Annuities Technology Department to include the purchase, customization and installation of the McAfee system to track, monitor & resolve systems related problems. • Built a customer centric Desktop Support function for both internal and external users (including 30,000 registered reps) and created a software integration group responsible for conducting testing and installation to assure security and compatibility with all client applications. • Developed & implemented a purchasing system to include a database that manages all software/hardware purchases, maintenance agreements & licensing requirements.

• Responsible for the creation and start-up of the Pacific Life Academy entailing: researching successful Corporate Universities, developing & presenting a business plan to the Board of Directors, obtaining $5M funding from Senior Management and facilitating the actual lease, design and construction of a 10,000 square foot training facility. • Established a model that enabled each Division to develop a “College”. Each college was represented by Sr. Management, whose responsibility was to provide oversight to committees, i.e., curriculum, ETP state funding, career development, internship programs, business school program and executive development. • Insured a cohesive interface to gain consensus from all Divisions by providing leadership, guidance and overall vision to a staff of designers, facilitators and support personnel in delivering “value added” training programs at Pacific Life.

• Responsibilities included providing overall direction, guidance and leadership for recruitment, staffing, executive search, advertising, job posting, employee relations, manpower and succession planning, organizational restructuring, conflict resolution, interventions, AAP and outplacement while providing ongoing consultative services to the Divisions.
