Can you focus on an “About” description that reads like a PC with at least twenty tabs open at once?If so, please continue.I was born in Federal Hill in South Baltimore, MD. You don’t need to know when but let’s say I went to arcades, and the first blockbuster movie I saw in a theater was JAWS.I have traveled quite a bit and had some excellent adventures despite a fear of flying. After marriage and three children, I somehow fell into sales and marketing. My creative brain caught fire, and I found it easy to create new concepts, ideas, and ways to engage people by being persuasive without being obnoxious. By this time, computers had been invented, and Windows was available, so I decided to teach myself how to use a computer. It was then that I became unstoppable! The information highway was now open, and I was driving without brakes. In early 2013, all I could think about was writing a book. I had no clue about publishing, so I did what I do best. I learned and taught myself.I wrote eight novels in six years. Unfortunately, I had no luck getting a literary agent, so I’m not rich. Yet.I taught myself how to self-publish. I even designed some of my own book covers by learning Photoshop. Simultaneously, I had become immersed in sales and marketing in my day job.I still write books. I don’t watch TV.Are you still with me? Maybe close some of those tabs, and we’ll get to 2020.During the pandemic, I was furloughed sixteen hours a month. I needed to find a way to compensate for my lost salary. I had previously thought about freelancing as a copywriter, but first, I needed to learn everything I could about it. I had been doing it for as long as I could remember, but one of my biggest fears is not being prepared.I joined Skillshare. I watched Youtube videos. I bought copywriting books and read until my eyes burned. I joined Fiverr, and I had my first client within a week.I have written copy on topics ranging from life coaching to pet care. I’ve met some of the most incredible people from around the globe and have 115 five-star reviews.I’m good at this writing stuff, and I love it. It’s my passion and my calling.Last but certainly not least, here’s the personal stuff:I’ve been married for 28 years. I have seven grandchildren. I love to travel, hate fast food, and have three amazing and gorgeous children. I'm a Game of Thrones junkie and have a bipolar cat named Archie. My mission is to become a full-time writer, never have to drive my car, and buy a vacation home at the beach. I’d also like some chickens and maybe a goat.
