Initially I was assigned to a resort property in Storm Lake Iowa to train and assist in ramp-up processes. After completing this project I was awarded the Holiday Inn/KCI Expo Center Director of Sales & Catering position. The newly opened (prototype) Holiday Inn was attached to an existing 100,000 square foot convention center. As an IHG Essay Winner in 2007 – I was awarded the appearance of the Holiday Inn #29 NASCAR. I utilized this opportunity to sponsor and direct a charity event for “Big Brothers and Big Sisters” with the Holiday Inn #29 NASCAR that resulted in raising $9,000 for the local chapter.
