A seasoned financial planner who helps families navigate the college financial planning process including school selection, financial aid analysis, and strategies to pay for college without leveraging retirement. By approaching the college planning process from a financial planning perspective, I enable my clients to position their children for success while still realizing other long-term financial objectives, like funding a comfortable retirement. My past experience includes building a wealth management firm from the ground up, devising strategies to grow the business, managing strategic partnerships and developing new service offerings to build client trust and increase assets under management. During my 8 years at RWKim and PATH Wealth Management, I also worked with many clients to develop strategies to pay for college; through this work it became clear to me that one of the most challenging stages in any family’s financial life is the time when they finance their children’s college education. This became even clearer when I started helping my twin children research college choices several years ago. I am proud to say that they both found schools that were a great fit and they are thriving. The college decision should not be made in a vacuum without taking into account the large impact this expense will have on the financial plan as a whole. This is why I started Way to the Quad - a firm whose mission is to help families to navigate the college financial planning process by selecting the most appropriate and best-value institutions, boosting financial aid, and developing a holistic strategy to pay for college.
