Service Design Lead for internal design team- Completed internal design research studies on: how my colleagues work and their biggest challenges; how work changed with Covid, and came up with recommendations for a hybrid work-office policy- Overseeing a service designer who studied how new joiners experienced the organisation when they joined and were onboarded in the middle of Covid and work-from-home norm; further oversaw the follow-up service design of a digital touchpoint meant to smoothen new-joiners' onboarding through our internal system. - With two colleagues, designed and executed the first two in-house design thinking courses in EDB, with total participation of 30 persons in the two runs: we took them through the entire double-diamond. - Completed the initial phase of an experiment with a private company partner to jointly explore the feasibility of a new product: we worked in joint teams, in biweekly sprints for 10 weeks. Did a lot of user interviews (>20+ in total) and came up with some recommendations: I had to hand it over to other colleagues who were better connected with the rest of government, and thus better placed to drive this forward. I was the main EDB point person on the team, with two other colleagues. - Driving (yet another) strategic initiative, involving open-space/unconference-style facilitation & facilitating Lean Launchpad-style customer discovery. This initiative is also an experiment in pulling in selected alumni to generate outside-in perspectives into the organisation. Still ongoing. Concurrently, digital Product Manager for organisation's website & Connections Concierge- Revamped internal processes for managing website content flows, including using new tools e.g. MS Teams, Planner and Power Automate Flows. - Conducted user discovery interviews to determine customers' job-to-be-done, and to determine how the website and product should be- Drafted product vision, strategy, backlog
