Dr. Peiwei Wang has more than 15 years of research experience on Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) implementation, transportation modeling and traffic operations and controls, including dynamic network modeling, network optimization, real-time corridor control, travel information prediction, simulation modeling and emergency planning. Her research interests lie on the development of theoretical models and the applications of the real-world cases of the aforementioned areas. She has published several journal papers in these areas. She is also interested in pursuing research in the area of traffic safety, traffic simulation, emergency response, and traffic information prediction. She also has experiences working with USDOT, state DOTs, MPOs, and local traffic agencies on transportation projects, and providing technical assistance.
