About Pella Bergquist
Having worked in the intersection between business, technology and people - and organisations - for quite some time I have acquired a wide experience in how people interact with the tools around them; how the tools informs our perceptions and value judgements; and how the appropriate design - in its widest meaning – can be used to influence, form and inform sought after changes in behaviour, in corporate culture, and in customer appreciation and loyalty. I am at my best when business strategies need to be implemented in real life – translating business needs and demands for changes in culture and operations into realistic solutions possible to build, maintain, and grow with. As at home with the C-suite as with the dev team or out doing research, letting the perspectives inform each other. My key qualities are professional integrity, an eagerness for learning new things, an inquisitive and analytical mind, and a willingness to develop and evolve rather than to regurgitate routine knowledge and "truths".I try to learn something new every day, though I know it’s not always possible.I am a team player, looking for the good of the organisation and my team rather than to push myself at the expense of others, and I enjoy facilitating growth and evolution in the people I work with and in the organisation both.I have hands on experience of strategic product management and multi-disciplinary agile delivery, with a focus on innovation, continuous discovery, and operational excellence. On a personal note I am interested in how the the things around us, including but not limited to people and expectations changes with time - and we with them.I think city planning, architecture, industrial design and societal design interesting and thought-provoking areas, as is the mind-experiment that good science fiction stories provide. Not to mention history of science and history of thought. I'm a train and railway aficionado, though practically anything that includes heavy machinery or smart but not necessarily complex engineering solutions fascinates me.Specialties: design leadership, user and product research (qual & quant), stakeholder research and management, synthesis & analysis, strategy, concept design, solution design, leading and mentoring hands on research and design, operationalizing design and user/product research, inclusion, ethics, business design, innovation, corporate culture, bridge between people, business, and tech.Roles: Business Developer, Business Designer, Service Designer, CX/Research/UX Lead, and similar roles.
Listed skills include Stakeholder Analysis, Needs Analysis, Concept Development, Solution Design, and 42 others.

Analyst & Researcher (Service Design)
CurrentPart of a team tasked with a cross-agency inquiry into measures which, if implemented by the state, would support the regions/counties and municipalities in fulfilling the health care mandate. My responsibility is three-fold: Building structured knowledge - analytical framework, desk study, and part structured part explorative study involving stakeholders across the domain, all of which formed a foundation for the analyses and suggestions which the group will make. Secondly, supporting the inquiry leads in defining and visualising measures, dependencies, projected benefits, and plans.Lastly, then: making the knowledge gained during the work accessible to everyone who might need it, including but not exclusive to the organisational units set up to implement and maintain the measures decided on.
Customer Experience Architect | Produktområde Rusta Och Matcha
Part of a team that facilitated transformation from delivery based on product and product-as-value to delivery aimed at enabling fulfilment of customer needs and expectations, within an agile product delivery framework; also enabling the transformation from face to face services to a digitally assisted journey towards employment.Prefaced the R&D initiative (starting Febr 2022) with foundational work facilitating the definition of the product area's vision, mission and value propositions. The work included a rundown on what matching is, for the agency as well as in a wider labour market context, and was followed by the facilitation of a maturity check on PA portfolio based on an adjustment of the Boston matrix made by the team. This led to the definition of a new value proposition, which in turn initiated the aforementioned R&D initiative.
Customer Experience Architect : Innovation, Data-Driven Matching
One of three leaders of a multi-disciplinary team tasked with exploring a new data-driven value proposition with a focus on value creation for job seekers and people looking for talents alike: an MVP is set to be delivered in 2024.Doing this from the perspective of a government agency adds complexity in the ethical and legal domains, as we didn't want to reinforce destructive labour market patterns while also managing the data of the individual with special respect and care for integrity. It also challenged us not to stop at 1 to 1 matching, which relies on the ability of employers and prospective employees to aptly describe themselves and their needs and prerequisites, but to instead look at what we could do to assist people and businesses who experience difficulties with finding a job or to hire talent. We worked based on the Lean Startup framework and lead jointly: my co-captains where Madelene Lidestad, Business Developer, and Andreas Horndahl, ML Engineer. My main work was in business development, concept design, user and stakeholder research, and architecting the customer experience.During our 3rd round of experiments we were forced to build our own survey from scratch, as the existing survey and analytics tools could not be used to achieve our objectives without compromising the integrity of the would-be respondees while also collecting the data we needed for the study. I stretched my T-shape and headed the development team.
