This was a startup company that was entering Guyanese territory. Primarily, I was tasked with developing the company's marketing assets and building a communications plan with the intention of raising $10 million dollars. I held a board position and brought the company and team into the modern age of mining.

Rubicon Organics™ produces Super-Premium Certified Organic cannabis products. CSE: ROMJ & OTCQX: ROMJF. Derek started by building the Rubicon Organics corporate brand and designing the investor deck at the inception of the company. He eventually took the position of VP of Sales and Marketing and managed all aspects of sales and marketing in Washington, California and Canada. Doctor and Crook was the first retail brand launched in Washington but was soon followed by Thrifty Cannabis and 1964 Supply Co. Today Rubicon has hit a market cap of 180 million dollars and is publicly traded on multiple markets.

Fresh Start Canadian Immigration is dedicated to working with Filipinos to get legal entry to Canada. Derek has been working with Filipinos since 2007 with Kika Marketing and found that the Philippines has a vast network of honest hard working individuals that would suit Canada's immigration needs.

Golden Eagle Group is a multimillion-dollar company with seven divisions based on 5,500 acres owned by the Aquilini Investment Group. Derek joined the company in 2003 and was promoted to General Manager of Golden Eagle Trees after only three months. Thanks to Derek’s sustained efforts and unparalleled management skills, sales increased by 350% in the first full year of his leadership, making the division profitable for the first time in five years. Derek was additionally promoted to general manager for Golden Eagle Estates, where he managed over twenty houses and farms under numerous leases. Eventually, Derek worked his way up to become the Vice President of the Golden Eagle Group in addition to joining the Aquilini construction division. Among other accomplishments, Derek managed the development of a thousand acres of raw land into blueberry fields and the construction of a 130,000 square foot processing plant. He also contributed to overseeing and managing the construction of the $180 million real-estate development at King Edward Village in Vancouver. During his five years at Golden Eagle Group, Derek made his mark as an exceptionally resourceful and dynamic leader.
