Father | Teacher | Motivational Speaker | Former AFL Field UmpireI have always prided myself on being a respected member of my community, and in my darkest times, it was the respect I'd gained over a lifetime in sport that helped pick me up off the floor.Over two years ago, life took a dramatic turn when a police arrest and a very public scandal involving the Brownlow Medal shattered my career as an AFL umpire, leading to media scrutiny and personal turmoil.Beneath the surface, however, I was suffering from a raft of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. Despite the unimaginable pain and scrutiny of what had occurred, it ultimately allowed me to seek help and embark on a path to recovery.Combined with my community work, I have over 10 years of experience as a dedicated Physical Education teacher, empowering young adults through sport and physical education, inspiring them to achieve their personal best. As a speaker, I deliver keynote and public talks to corporates, schools, and sporting teams, sharing my story of resilience, offering practical insights on mental wellbeing, and helping others navigate their own challenges with hope.
