Skills Training Employment Program Instructor
CurrentThrough daily communication and working closely with The New Hampshire Employment Program (NHEP) Employment Counselor Specialists my responsibilities include: - Working to help unemployed low-income individuals from various countries and cultural backgrounds that are living in our community to find full-time employment. - Assisting these people on their quest to finding full-time employment and becoming financially independent. - Enrolling them in work experience programs (WEPs) in various worksites/companies within the community to train, learn job skills and gain work experience to help them become serious candidate when applying for job opportunities that they are qualified for due to their training. - Supervising them and providing support as needed at these worksites. - Assisting them to secure employment and transition into paid positions when opportunities become available at the worksites where they are training. - Creating lesson plans based on the 16 steps to finding employment (a curriculum provided by New Hampshire Employment Program) - Teaching them the steps, knowledge and methods of finding and keeping a job. - Completing state issued paperwork (Weekly Progress Report) for each participant in the Skills Training and Employment Program which is then submitted to NHEP Employment Counselor specialists on a weekly basis
