I am Pema Thinley, a dedicated Sr. Finance and Accounts Officer currently overseeing the Sourcing and Investment task at Druk Green Power Corporation Ltd (DGPC) in Thimphu, Bhutan. Armed with a Master's in Applied Finance from the University of Western Australia and a Bachelor's in Commerce with a Finance background from Sherubtse College, I bring a robust academic foundation to my role. Since joining DGPC in 2008, I have held key positions, including Head of Finance at the 60 MW Kurichhu Hydropower Plant, where I took on full responsibility for financial matters. My contributions span the development and implementation of financial strategies, ERP system integration, budget preparation, and feasibility studies for new projects. Noteworthy secondments to the Office of Performance Management, His Majesty Secretariat, and Bhutan Hydropower Services Ltd have honed my versatility, encompassing responsibilities from advising on commercial processes to overseeing financial matters for multiple agencies. Proficient in SAP and possessing strong computer skills, I am recognized for my ability to handle risk-related issues, technical orientation, and adaptability to new technologies. I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the finance domain, making me a valuable asset to any team.
