I was recruited by our head office in the US to be responsible for the Nordic region, my job includes making sure all devices that are to be released to the Nordic market are working as their specification states and looking for possibilities for added values we can bring in to our device ranges. I work with people in all Nordic countries to get as much input as possible about legislations, changes to road networks, possible bugs and anything that might affect our devices. I also work on a daily bases with my co workers in Europe, US and Taiwan to insure we are all working toward the same goal and we are all aware of what’s going on. I am also asked by our Swedish office to help out in different capacities from time to time, which is a fun change.

I started these jobs some time before December, however when we became Garmin than if became "official"Sportmanship was the previous general agent for amongst other things the Garmin brand, the company Sportmanship International AB, where i had worked for 6 years was sold to Garmin.During the last years I was asked to take care of a lot of different things such as purchasing and forecasting, making sure we have the right things in stock to sell. Also product management for our different segments, making sure everyone is up to date with what is going on and what separates one unit from the other, and also doing sales for the Swedish military, police and coastguard and other government organisations, which has been a fun challenge, there kind of sales area more long-term¬ then over the counter sales.

Sportmanship was the previous general agent for amongst other things the Garmin brand, the company Sportmanship International AB, where i had worked for 6 years was sold to Garmin.I started working in the order entry department and as time went on i was asked to manage different projects such as Friluftskartan PRO.I have been involved in a few different projects over the years; I was responsible for the GPS-Buddy system, a fleet management system that we sold together with a PND to give the customers an easy way to manage their fleets. This is a fairly technical system for most retailers to set up, so I used to help them both during the sales process as well as with the installation.

I became the second line support for the 43 stores around Sweden and took care of our key account customers together with the business sales team. My work also included assisting the stores in our region when they had personal absences.
