This created its own set of challenges, as students were not expecting to take classes via Zoom. I worked with students to help them overcome some of the frustrations they felt, and I provided potential solutions to the challenges learning online presented. I was proud to work with students to help them gain a better understanding of how to present complex analysis of, and how to incorporate multiple marketing concepts into a cohesive and thoughtful response to varied marketing scenarios.

I was in the Evergreens Rotational Leadership Program with DaVita. This 18 month program is intended to give individuals an opportunity to see how things work within many different departments between Revenue Operations (ROPS) and Finance. During the first year of employment I rotated through a set order of departments, and during the last 6 months of the program was able to chose which departments I wanted to get more experience with. This last 6 month period was an opportunity for me to go back to a department that I enjoyed or for me to choose a department that I wasn't previously exposed to.The main purpose of this program is to see how different departments interact with each other and to gain insights as to what goes on behind the scenes. I gained exposure to many different aspects of ROPS and Finance. Through this program I learned how decisions can affect different departments. I saw first hand how different teams rely upon one another, and what teams I will need to work with in the future for projects I will be working on. In addition to learning these things, I worked on projects in every department I'd been in, and created capacity for the various teams I've worked with. I did this by sifting through data and creating spreadsheets, conducted research to create PowerPoint presentations which explain processes, connected different departments with each other that were working on similar projects to create a broader team with different insights, and I have been/ am continuously maintaining contact with previous departments by working on lasting projects with and for them.My end goal with this program was to learn as much as I could about the different departments, teams, and leaders I worked with so I could make decisions knowing potential impacts to other groups. My last rotation in this program was as an Assistant Manager, Patient Accounts. I performed the duties of this role during my rotation and was subsequently offered the position.

I was responsible for creating/updating all training manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Classy Chassis had 4 different areas of operation which I was to maintain these documents for; Car Wash, Detail, Coffee, and Lube & Oil. Each department had it's own set of guidelines in addition to their universal business guidelines. I also worked on creating a hiring process to bring in a higher level of employees who were the right fit for the job and the environment. I was also responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies, maintaining the POS system, ensuring positive responses to customer feedback through our CRM model, managing our social media sites, and strategically positioning ourselves within the community as THE car wash of choice.

I had the unique opportunity to be included in the behind the scenes action at TGI. I was afforded this luxury because of a class which I was enrolled in at UWT called Board Governance.My role in the eyes of the school was to be an observer and to learn. My role in the eyes of TGI was to be an active participant in the board meetings as well as the committee meetings I attend. Either way, I learned a lot from this class and from the time I spend in the board room.This was a great experience and it allowed me to be involved in high profile discussions which a student would typically not be privy to.

As an intern with First Night Tacoma, I was tasked with obtaining corporate sponsorship as well as marketing through social media.I have been working with various businesses to attract food vendors, corporate sponsorship, and even creating community events to help promote First Night.Through First Night, I have also been given more experience with Social Media Marketing through Face Book, Twitter and Hootsuite.
