Computational Sensing Research and Multimedia Computing+Human Activity Monitoring research project: Fall Detection, an Android app based on local algorithm (Threshold and Filtering) and cloud-based algorithm (TDE and GTM) to detect if a fall activity happens on user. Test the energy consumption and response time for different algorithms’ combinations based on the activity dataset from remote Amazon Web Server, module packages as analysis, communication, data management and profiling. +Build NSF summer research site: http://www.cs.uml.edu/~ycao/reu/ and work with professor to teach and help his undergraduate students on data and index retrieval, user authentication and Bluetooth communication etc. in NSF Biomedical Informatics summer research group: http://csr.cs.uml.edu/about/+Based on our Sensor-Mobile-Could system architecture in NSF summer research, I work on Mobile part(Android smartphone), to handle multimedia data(picture,video and accelerometer) from body sensor(Samsung smartphone) by Bluethoon backup on smartphone part and transfer data to Could server with user authentication process.+Deep Learning-based Video Analytics research project: Video Violence Detection. I’m working on full-stack development. Front-end developement by using Java Servelet for handling openIMAJ for shot boundary detection and svm, deep-learning algorithm for violence clips detection. Also participate in client side development for user's webpage play back by using JSP, Javascript and PHP.
