• Accomplished a first-author paper demonstrating one of the first near-infrared photonic crystal fibers with hybrid-guidance mechanisms (integrating total-internal-reflection and photonic-bandgap-guidance)
• In this paper, I further developed an analytical model to accurately predict the photonic bandgap modes. The model was verified by FEM (COMSOL)
• Additionally, I programmed a femtosecond fiber laser (LabVIEW) for 3D two-photon direct-writing of optical waveguides
