I work corporately using sustainability principles to transform the Council’s working beyond current practices and precedents. Green infrastructure/ Nature based solutions are my passion. Bringing wildlife back into our urban environment I believe is key to addressing and adapting to the impact of the climate and nature emergencies and for improving our health and well-being.

Wales wide role advising and supporting the 22 Local Authorities, 3 Fire and Rescue Authorities and 3 National Park Authorities. Designed and published the Welsh Governments Sustainable Development Framework (a suite documents providing practical guidance at both a corporate and service level on delivering sustainable development), working and managed a team of Consultants introducing new concepts like Futures work to member associations and designing and providing training at a professional and political level.

Focused on working both corporately and externally with community groups, businesses and voluntary sector to develop and promote sustainable services and policies and projects, including: • Providing schools with educational courses around global citizenship, fairtrade and the millennium goals, • Sustainable food – health and wellbeing and promoting local food agenda

A short term contract as the Council’s Environmental Co-ordinator. Responsible for developing and co-ordinating the Council’s approach to environmental issues and working in partnership to promote environmental policies in the borough.
