Penny brings more than 20 years of experience in the public and private sector to FTA, a nonprofit trade organization that educates consumers, regulators, policymakers, and industry stakeholders on the value of technology-centered financial services and advocates for the modernization of financial regulation to support inclusion and innovation. Since its founding, FTA and its member companies have demonstrated the power and benefit this industry brings by offering innovative financial products and services that serve the broad needs of American businesses and consumers. Penny has been a tireless advocate for improving diversity, inclusivity, and equity across the tech industry throughout her career. At FTA, she continues this mandate as the association seeks to ensure that policy and regulations are focused on safeguarding consumers and businesses while expanding access to financial services, markets, and giving individuals more control over their financial future. Penny has significant experience across public and private sector roles. Most recently, Penny led the public affairs practice group at Invariant, a leading Washington, DC government relations and strategic communications firm. Her professional expertise is complemented by holding leadership and board positions for several D.C. area investment groups and non-profit organizations.
