CDU lead South African hub (Body and PAC) for Publicis One Touch a bespoke marketing transformation partner for NIVEA worldwide. Publicis Groupe and Beiersdorf have created Publicis One Touch for their next digital transformation, a new type of agency model based on agility and interdisciplinary design.

Penny manages the Liquorice Durban office which has a team of client service, strategy and a small social team. She oversees strategic consulting, digital brand development for all Durban and African business which includes OMO, Sunlight, Surf, Ola, Magnum, Cornetto, Paddlepop, Flora, Rama/ Blue Band, Royco, Robertsons, Vaseline and SA Home Loans.

After returning from having her first child in 2001 and selling her shares held in the company; Penny's new responsibilities included marketing the company, as well as project management and consulting to clients on a number of specialist areas including marketing strategy, CRM and custom software design and development.Penny also managed the relationships with the following Key accounts: RMB Asset Management, Spar, Momentum Wealth, Illovo Sugar, Albaraka Bank, South Coast Tourism, Trade & Investment KZN, Pikitup and Petro AgenciesResponsibilities include business analysis, project management, product quality, sales targets, tender preparation and presentations, managing project scope creep and managing budgets.

Responsibilities included maintaining and increasing the profitability of the Company, maintaining and increasing the sales targets as well as assessing, and if necessary correcting, the overhead structure and staffing requirements of the Company to maximize profitability. Other areas of responsibility included expanding the Company’s business through the securing of new clients, networking and maintaining alliances, motivating and directing the management team as well as the Setting the budgets and presentation of management accounts including income statements, cash flow, schedule of orders received but not yet fulfilled, forecast of prospective orders and sales for the next six months and balance sheets.

I was a founding partner of this New Age Design Company specialising in websites, intranets, CD-ROM and speaker-support presentations.Skills & Achievements: • Managed rapid increase in client base. Client list included:- BMW, Illovo Sugar, Group 5, Oracle SA, Guard Bank, Investec Bank.• Development of BMW’s first internet and intranet web sites.• Development of multiple multimedia presentations for Investec Bank. Reason for leaving: Sold business and had a restraint of trade in the JHB region.
