Penny Patterson-Smith is chief innovation officer at Flowers Foods where she leads Flowers’ research and development, product lifecycle management, innovation, renovation, and agile teams. Her career spans 30 years of experience working with leading consumer packaged goods companies, including Kraft/Nabisco, Mars, and The Hershey Company, across mix of categories in both brand and innovation roles. Ms. Patterson-Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in government and economics from Skidmore College and an MBA in marketing with a minor in policy studies from The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
