Penny's professional experience includes career development coaching; multiple managerial and trainer positions with corporate, nonprofit, state and federal organizations; public speaking, and technical writing. She has also owned and operated several small businesses and is a certified communications coach. Her specialties include:-Career Development: resumes, interviewing, online applications, job market research, networking, and leveraging social media-Business and Professional Coaching: career development; professional communications and public speaking; and business (International Coach Federation certification) -Public Speaking: topics focus on elements of career development, overcoming public speaking apprehension, and motivational themes (local, national, and international conferences).-Technical WritingAs a representative of the UTSA College of Business Center for Professional Excellence, she serves as the Business Writing trainer with JP Morgan Chase and teaches courses for the paralegal program. Penny has a master’s degree in communications from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. Her academic interests explore the impact of emerging technologies to shorten learning curves and promote communication effectiveness in the classroom, workplace, and in online environments.
