The transformational leader of the Northern Health Clinical School, my passion and drive is to inspire those entering and within the profession. It has led me to work on projects such as Transforming Enrolled Nurse Education, Supervision Models and Preceptorship and the Introduction of RUSONs and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cadetships at Northern Health. I am motivated by the success of others, taking great pride in my work and in seeing the transformation that education can make in the lives of staff and patients. Dedicated to Northern Health for 20 years I have moved from the wards taking my experience at every level to work as a Clinical Nurse Educator, Academic Clinician (RMIT), Education Consultant for Interdisciplinary short-courses for Comprehensive Health Assessment (La Trobe University), Senior Coordinator Education – Medicine Program (NH) and finally Clinical School Coordinator (NH). Multiple successes with DHHS grant applications for innovative programs. A member of several Academic and Clinical advisory committees, twice recipient of the Northern Health Achiever’s Award, Honorary Award at Northern Health research week and Principle/site Investigator for a PhD student and Introduction of RUSONs, presenter at the ANMF conference and also once published; I am a driving force bringing change to Nursing Education of the future.
