Apply my experience and education in the field on Conservation Land Management (CLM) by Assisting the design and delivery of class materials, lesson plans and assessments.

Implement Councils responsibility as the Local Control Authority under the Biosecurity Act 2015. Inspections, Education extension , contribution to the Weeds Action Plan , data collection in field and reporting, compliance and advise of invasive species & responsibilities. Implementation of weed control projects procurement procedures for contractors and and community groups. This was done in the diverse community and environment of the Bellingen Shire. I am proud of the achievements and networks I developed in this work.

Developing and implementation of environmental restoration rehabilitation and mitigation works. Sourcing of external funding through grant applications with a focus on water quality, erosion and sediment control, invasive species control and increasing native flora and fauna.

Obtaining site specific funding through private and public streams to develop, plan and implement a range a biodiversity conservation projects on private land, in some cases complementing already existing programs with similar objectives. Preparation and planning & monitoring former of Restoration programs and report writing formed significant parts of this work . Good communication and regular stakeholder engagement was essential to achieve desirable outcomes.

On ground works for the Coffs Creek reserve and waterway corridor project which was in its infancy. I also worked with the Weed services which primarily focused on priority weeds in the shire in public and private land under the now repealed Noxious Weeds Act 1993. 4wd skills in the Hinterlands and banana country was a learned skill.Primary and secondary weed control using a range of methods including chemical , manual , mechanical and hand removal. Working on sites with very low resilience to moderate resilience and incorporating the necessary methods of implementing a successful and efficient program. I worked on A wide range of Plant Community Types including some Endangered Ecological Communities particularly on specific headlands around the Coffs Coast.

All aspects of Bushland regeneration, weed control and riverbank stability. Water quality improvements for the Coffs Harbour water supply and catchment area formed part of the Orara Valley Rivercare Project now in its 25 year. I worked on this project with a keen interest budding in this field. This project shows me that with a bit of hard work, grit and some incredibly wise minds working together that amazing outcomes can be achieved for the greater good of the whole community ,including all its native flora and fauna. I am so proud and grateful for my time with this project and worship all the incredible people who had made this work happen in the first place including my Father Graeme who instilled a deep sense of passion and pride for the environment, our environment.
