She has done presentations on dog bite prevention and canine body language in a number of venues including AVETS Small Animal Conference, Assistance Dogs International Conference, Pittsburgh Pet Expo and Babypalooza, as well as local libraries and veterinary clinics. Penny has presented on occupational dog bite prevention to Vibra-Tech Engineers, Duquesne Light Company, Somerset Rural Electric Cooperative, Allegheny County probation officers, federal probation officers for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Westmoreland County Animal Response Team, Derry Area Firefighters and EMS, and Penn Twp. Ambulance Association.Penny has appeared on television and radio, as well as in print and online media discussing canine safety. She has appeared on KDKA-TV and Radio, PCNC and 100.7 STAR, as well as in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Pittsburgh Tribune Review and EMS World. Penny is the only approved trainer and educator for dog and baby safety at Allegheny Health Network and Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC.
