As a final-year student completing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Deakin University, I am willing to contribute my skills and knowledge to promote good health and well-being in the community. I believe that maintaining a healthy lifestyle enables an individual to face life's challenges with a positive attitude and resilience. After all, "he who has health has hope; and he who has hope has everything" (Thomas Carlyle). From a young age and carried into adulthood, I have always possessed a keen fascination with science, especially biology. Coupled with my passion for helping people that my parents instilled in me, my love for science developed into my dream of becoming a medical doctor.In my first job as a Cargo Assistant at the transport and logistics company LBC Express, I work in a team facilitating the transport of large boxes of gifts from families (primarily Filipino) in the Greater Melbourne area to the Philippines. One of the core skills I developed is working with like-minded people collaborating to foster happiness in families. I helped oversee 30,000+ boxes delivered to the Philippines for nearly 2 years. This experience makes me a valuable asset who is hardworking, willing to learn, and enjoys being a team player.In my spare time, I am an avid collector of plastic models of Gundam (Gunpla), which taught me the value of creativity and detail orientation. I also enjoy exercising with my friends every weekend. Through these moments of relaxation with my mates, I learned about perseverance and goal-setting to maintain and promote healthy living in others.Let's connect!
