Pepe Blasco is a technology enthusiast who currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Fairside, a company focused on the development of decentralized insurance platforms. He has specialized knowledge in Blockchain, Big Data, and the architecture of applications utilizing these technologies. At Fairside, his role includes growing the tech team, coordinating development, and acting as a liaison between top management and the developers.Prior to Fairside, Pepe began his career at a leading tech consulting firm in Spain, developing tooling software for other companies. He later joined ClimateTrade, a startup focused on blockchain technology, where he managed the IT roadmap, key partnerships, and the development of platform integrations with external systems. Following this, he worked on cross-chain applications with Composable Finance, developing features and coordinating a team of developers to complete project requirements on EVM-compatible networks such as Ethereum, Polygon, and Arbitrum.Pepe's journey into the crypto world started during his university days in 2015, where his interest was piqued by the direct relationship between tech and money. He delved into learning about blockchain technology, even setting up a student association for ethical hacking with a focus on blockchain. This experience helped kickstart his career in the field.Pepe worked as CTO on MELD, a project merging traditional finance and crypto. Led the tech team from idea to product delivery over 2 years of development, with thousands of users in the platforms created. Pepe is particularly drawn to the security and decentralization aspect of crypto.
