Pepe Valencia is the Founder and Visualization Supervisor of Baraboom! Studios, a Visualization company that helps Directors, DP's, VFX, and Virtual Production Supervisors to visualize their ideas before shooting. Pepe has more than 20 years of Visualization Production experience on feature films, TV episodic, commercials, VR, and Themed Park Rides. His expertise in Previs, Pitchvis, Postvis, Techvis, and On-Set processes and the use of techniques like MoCap, VCam, and RealTime technologies brought him to work on productions like "The Nutcracker and the Fourth Realms". "Independence Day: Resurgence", "The Impossible", "Borderlands", "A Monster Calls", "Cosmos", "Klaus", "Book of Life" among other credits.Before creating Baraboom! Studios, Pepe joined Imagi Animation Studios in September 2007, where he served as Director of Photography for the film Astro Boy. Pepe worked at Sony Pictures Imageworks starting in 1996 until 2007, where he served as Animation Supervisor on "The Aviator", "Peter Pan", and "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle". Other credits include "Surf's Up", "Open Season", "Beowulf", "Stuart Little 2" (winner of the VES Award for Best Character Animation in an Animated Film), "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone", the Academy Award(R) nominated "Hollow Man", the Academy Award-nominated "Stuart Little", "Godzilla", and the Academy Award-nominated "Starship Troopers".He was Director's Layout with Robert Zemeckis on The Polar Express, Gil Kenan on Monster Hous, Brian Singer on "Superman Returns" and "The Impossible" and "A Monster Calls" with J.A. Bayona.Before joining Imageworks, Pepe worked at Cinesite as a Technical Director on Space Jam and at a number of smaller production houses. He served as a member of the Animated Short Films jury for the 2001 ASIFA Annie Awards. He is co-author of the book “Inspired 3D Short Film Production. He has taught Maya Master Classes from Seoul to San Diego and is a Maya Master Class presenter on the Alias DVD, Previsualization: From the Director's Concept to the Stage.Pepe is a member VES, ASIFA and of the ASC-ADG-VES Joint Technology Subcommittee on Previsualization and Virtual Production.
