I have a BS in Biology and a BS in Environmental Engineering. My collegiate curriculum involved engineering of the environment, including site remediation, water treatment, site development, and soil sampling and testing. I currently work for Pinkerton & Laws construction of Atlanta, Inc., which is a general contractor that specializes in the construction of commercial hospitality facilities. We work closely with organizations such as Hilton, Marriott, IHG, and Wyndham. My ultimate career goal is to earn my General Contractor's license, and to expand upon current work project and organizational management. I enjoy learning from and working with those in the large-scale construction industry, and feel that I can combine my construction and environmental expertise to improve our local communities.

  I assist in overall management of the everyday operations of thecommercial facility construction project. I participate in pre-construction services by providing expertisein constructability, means and methods, and pre-job planning andscheduling. Additionally, I act as a liaison between the Owner andArchitect to coordinate value engineering, cost-efficient buildingcomponents, and resolutions to potential obstacles throughout the construction process. During construction, I manage jobsite staff infollowing areas: Quality Control, Safety, Project Schedule, administrationof Subcontracts and Material Purchase Orders, review of Shop Drawings,estimating, Change Orders, Monthly Payment Requisitions, LaborDistribution Reports, Cost Forecasts, project scheduling, securing and distributing progressphotographs, compilation of “As-Built” Documents, BuildingCommissioning, Operations and Maintenance Manuals, and works alongsidethe estimating department by assisting in pricing out potential projects andpreconstruction services.
