A Man Of His Own
CurrentI have 3 years college provided by the US Army, Electronics completed 1964 in Germany.After my term in the military I went to work as an machinist for one whole year. Boring.Real Estate was next in my hunt for the perfect career and spent almost all of the '60's fulfilling other peoples dream of home ownership and really enjoyed that time in my life.One thing kept nagging me about the car business, the ineptness of and I finally decided to help the growth of the auto after-market business where things were starting to blossom and I enjoyed teaching dealers to create their finance departments.From there came the extended warranty business with several of my good friends and we finally started our own Extend Warranty Company, American Warranty Company. We thrived in the business and we took the business by storm. When the insurance company that was backing us decided to buy us out, I went my merry way and created an agency supplying products for auto dealers in several states, for several years and then sold the agency.Still not exactly where I wanted to be I settled into the Insurance business, specializing in Health and Life and even later, retirement plans. Over time I decided to actually help others find their way into the insurance business and I taught them and guided them for years and years and I was home. I had 150 agents and life was great.I did that into the 2000's and loved it until 2009. What a lesson, $1.5 million all stashed away so that my family and self would have a beautiful retirement. I'll never that bright sunny morning when my nest egg went from $1.5 mil to $150K in one day.That little set back sent my wife and I back to Washington, where we were born and raised.I am still licensed so here I am helping others find the insurance that will take them through golden years. Not that I don't like it, but the customers have a very hard time understanding the great products that surfaced when 2009 crashed.
