Per Baltzer Overgaard was born on April 28, 1963, and is a Danish citizen. He holds a Master's Degree (Economics) from Warwick University, UK, 1986, and a PhD Degree (Economics) from CORE, Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, 1991. He studied at Aarhus University, 1981 - 85, Warwick University, 1985 - 86, CORE, 1987 - 89, and UCLA, 1989 - 90. Per Baltzer Overgaard has been employed by Aarhus BSS (previously School of Economics and Management), Aarhus University, since June 1990: Asst. Professor 1990 - 93, Assoc. Professor 1993 - 2003, Professor since 2003 and Head of School 2006-2011. Presently, he is Professor and Associate Dean for International Accreditations at Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University. From 2011 to 2021 he was Vice-Dean for Research and Talent at Aarhus BSS. Since 2007 he has been a member of the CEPOS Council, and in the period 2006-2010 he was a member of the Danish Council for Independent Research - Social Sciences (DFF - FSE). His primary academic interests are Economics of Information and Contracting, Auctions, Game Theory, Business Strategy, Industrial Organization, Antitrust and Business Regulation. He has supervised 15 PhD students to completion.
