I implement and maintain global processes to ensure a compliant and standardized handling of customs and indirect taxes. Review traded goods globally and customs flows, identify and implement optimizations and improvement initiatives. Broad product knowledge and responsible for classification of goods and contact person towards suppliers to facilitate preferential trade. I am the main contact person to customs’ authorities, ensure correct and relevant authorizations, handle customs audits. I participate in and prepare input to business changes and business cases in cooperation with procurement, launch team and supply chain.

Customs responsible for the Eimskip Shipping Line operations in Helsingborg, including import/export procedures, logistics planning, the customs warehouse facility and helped the team with hands-on transports when necessary. Responsible for developing customs processes, aligning them with new customs laws, and applied for new customs permissions. I provided solutions within the customs and logistics area, including IT. My planning and implementation of two customs warehouses in Helsingborg and Halmstad has been very successful. Some of the more operational responsibilities I had were within customer service, customs clearance, invoicing, transport booking and internal auditing. The key aspects of my role were being an influencer and advisor that educated our customers and supported international colleagues in difficult tasks.

Project leader or participant in projects assigned to the development and streamlining of the IKEA customs and logistics processes. A position that has unquestionably developed my analytical skills and given me great experience in project management. My work involved establishment of strategies, processes and working routines within the customs and trade area, while meeting the overall IKEA objectives. I conducted proactive audits, both in Sweden and internationally, within IKEA. I supported the IKEA companies with customs knowledge and I educated colleagues and co-workers.

Managed five different commercial kitchens in and around the city of Jönköping. Responsible for all purchasing of food and non-food materials. I was responsible for monthly closure and reporting to finance, and also learned a lot about cost-efficiency, procurement, food quality and nutrition.
