Syntera is a consultant company focusing on design of digital systems based on microcontroller, ASIC or FPGA. Typical assignments for Syntera are in the range of ASIC/FPGA block development to complete boards including embedded software.I have been at Syntera since 1997 and I'm one of the founders.

Signal processing block design and verification.

Ericsson in Lund developed Modem ASICs for the telecom industry. The ASICs contained a complete "System on Chip", and communication functions including WCDMA and LTE. The assignment included the integration and design of various functional blocks, but also the development of software for automated RTL generation. I was responsible of the UPF based low power implementation. The work included close collaboration with teams in France, India and Germany.

Development of signal processing functions in FPGA for baseband communication between mobile phone design (FPGA) and base station emulator.

Development of digital signal processing ASIC included in WCDMA base station for mobile telephone network. I was responsible for the specification, design and verification of several signal processing blocks in the project.

Development of a highly integrated digital ASIC for mobile phones. The ASIC includes a complete "System on Chip", and communication functions including WCDMA. The work included integration of function blocks from multiple sources to a new circuit. The assignment also included development of system controller, customizable blocks, bus bridges, etc.

Responsible for several advanced signal processing FPGAs in ground radar systems.
