Netsize IPX AB is fully owned by Gemalto, a French leading provider of IT solutions in the digital security/identity industry. Netsize employs 250 globally, most in Europe, about 60 in Stockholm and is operating on the mobile payment and communication arena. An industry with a lot of competition. We cooperate with our mother company for mobile wallet, M2M and NFC solutions.When I joined this position to head up a team of eight, traditional business was declining due to changing regulations, and there was a need to sustain and build up a portfolio of new customers. To succeed in this we had to use conscious opportunity focus and build operative and strategic partnership with mobile operators, customers and suppliers. The Nordics have been the most successful region in this transformation and built a new business of 30 MEUR end-user-value per year, while maintaining and lately growing our core business. Our customers vary and include local players like Västtrafik, EasyPark, Selecta, Mobiento/DeLoitte and Apsis but also global companies like Microsoft, Gameloft, Nokia and Samsung.In many areas we have shaped the strategic agenda of the company, in particular after being acquired by Gemalto in 2012. In my position as Sales Director I was combining a Head of Sales position for a team of 9 persons with an operational Key Account Manager position. My team in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Estonia managed sales to almost 300 customers in mainly the Nordics and the Baltics (NOBA). I was responsible for sales planning and coaching, personnel management, key customer relationships and working towards defined goals, including building regional strategies.In a challenged industry where sales to our traditional customers had reduced, we have managed to harvest traditional business while shifting our organizational focus and build a stock of new clients for future success. The Nordic region was the pioneer in this evolution for Ericsson IPX AB, and I am proud of what we achieved.

Following a three year assignment in Abu Dhabi I took some time to plan my next assignment, while leading a commercial team with the task to remodel HW and SW pricing and delivery for a large Arab operator. The operator had put major price pressure on Ericsson and I was involved from HQ to limit the impact. After engaging a lot of creativity in the team, remodelling the pricing, and some very tough negotiations, the customer decided to drop the negotiations and stick with the old contract. During three years in Abu Dhabi I was responsible within group KAM team for the relationship with regional mobile operator Warid. Warid was an up-and-coming operator with a lot of sheikh-cash and Ericsson wanted to secure a large portion of business, fighting the Chinese competition.I had the responsibility to build relationships with top management at Warid HQ, and as responsible for business growth I used my relationships to stay ahead of competition, secure customer satisfaction and negotiating good sales.
