Through my work with major industrial actors I have experience in mathematical modelling of real-world problems. Through scientific research I have experience in applying cutting-edge technologies. I possess strong analytical skills combined with the ability to explain complicated features to experts and laymen alike. My understanding of technology in general, combined with my creativity and year-long experience enables me to transform newly researched, scientific methods into production software, as documented by my track record. My career has been centered around mathematical modeling applied in the trans­portation and environmental sectors. Having worked with mathematical modelling for more than 25 years, I now possess expert knowledge of information technology related to modelling, including programming, software architecture, database design and technical project management. I have recently founded and lead a strategic innovation initiative dealing with predictive maintenance using artificial intelligence. I have recently completed a Ph.D. project in Applied Mathematics in which I have designed and implemented advanced, high-performance, parallel, heuristic algorithms for a railway-specific, linear optimisation problem. The algorithms provide economic savings worth several million DKK per year. Other projects include the design and implementation of a high-performance system for advanced statisti­cal passenger forecasting in a large-scale production environment, resulting in substantial eco­nomic savings and a sharp decline in passenger complaints. Quality is important to me, and no bugs have been registered on the system since production roll-out in 2010.In my work life, I am driven by curiosity and by my desire to transform theoretic insights into practical, technical solutions to real-world problems, solutions that work, provide humans with better lives and are a benefit to society.
