Anton is an architect and Associate Director with almost 20 years of experience, he joined Assael in 2016 following an extensive and varied career. At Jonathan Clark Architects he was leading a vast range of projects from high-end residential, schools, hotels, veterinary clinics, chocolate shop, cafés, bars, restaurant, offices and dog kennels, including the new landmark building for the iconic Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.Anton has played a key role in some of Assael’s major developments. Projects include the detailed design for Union Wharf, Chiswick High Road and Florence Dock, and the design, development and construction of Blackhorse Mills and Box Makers Yard, both for Legal & General. He also undertakes technical design reviews practice-wide to share this wealth of knowledge.More recently, Anton has been overseeing our growing Assael Interiors department, working on Build to Rent projects, such as 500-home Leaside Lock in Bromley-by-Bow and five residentially-led build-to-rent interiors schemes for Platform, in Cardiff, Sheffield, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Leeds, and Populo's exciting new scheme in Pier Road, as well as PIC's New Victoria scheme up in Manchester, and Chatfield Road for the Collective.Before becoming an architect, Anton was a classical ballet dancer, trained at the prestigious Swedish Royal Ballet School in Stockholm. He performed on a number of grand stages across the world, including Royal Festival Hall performing in Swan Lake with English National Ballet, the Dominion Theatre dancing in Matthew Bournes famous all-male Swan Lake. He also worked for Ballet du Nord in Lille, France, touring across Europe in various shows by internationally renowned neo-classical choreographers.His keen eye for clean lines and form is something that has influenced his other creative passions: oil painting and photography. He’s often seen in his studio painting away, and holds regular charity art auctions at Assael, raising money for Art in African schools.
