I love flying, and I love the fact that I spent 26 years as a Marine (enlisted and officer). I have experience in many different fields and different assignments in the military, but foremost I was a Marine Aviator. My flying experience includes extensive shipboard operations around the globe in all types of climates and weather. I have participated in combat operations, humanitarian operations, and training with our many allies in the Pacific and the Far East. On top of having high level flight designations and qualifications I have held many different leadership roles in both aviation and ground units from squadron/battalion level to Joint services level. I spent three years in CH-46E Fleet Replacement Squadron and held the position of the Marine Corps senior CH-46E standardization pilot and CH-46E Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS) Program Manager. I have lived abroad in Sweden and Japan for a total of 20 years and am fluently bilingual with a rudimentary understanding of all Scandinavian languages. During my years growing up in Europe, being stationed in Japan, and multiple military deployments I have had abroad and rich exposure to many different cultures and countries. Foremost I am an American, but I have deep ties to my Swedish family and culture, as well a citizen of the world. I believe that through hard work, cooperation, positive attitude, and understanding of other people’s goals and aspirations, anything can and will be achieved.
