Head Of Engineering
CurrentBuilt a technical team almost from scratch by integrating the existing engineers with new hires, collaborating closely with the CTO throughout the entire process.Established new development guidelines and processes to ensure the stability and scalability of both the legacy and new code.Transitioned from a more traditional team organization, characterized by large Gantt diagrams and inter-team dependencies, to a fully agile approach, forming small, multidisciplinary teams to reduce dependencies and significantly increase team output.Initially, we had 3 developers, and we transitioned to having 3 agile teams, each consisting of 5 to 9 people.Collaborated closely with all the agile teams to continuously improve processes and foster autonomy.Remained actively involved in making decisions related to both architecture and the implementation of business logic.Provided coaching and mentoring to all members of the development team, conducting regular one-on-one meetings with them. In later years, I focused more on supporting team leads and managers to enhance their performance in their respective roles. Encouraging active involvement of all team members with product and business was a crucial objective, enabling better decision-making within the teams rather than imposing decisions externally.Collaborated with the business and product teams during the early stages of projects to align their needs with the technical teams.I assisted the teams with their infrastructure requirements by acting as a point of contact between them and the infrastructure team, in which I was actively involved on a daily basis.Technologies: Java, Spring Boot, Python, Javascript ES6, React, Node, Electron, Kotlin, Swift, Dart, Flutter, DDD, Hexagonal, Event Driven, Microservices, XP, MySQL, Redis, Apache, Memcached, ActiveMQ, Solr, Jenkins, Nexus, Postman, Selenium, Cucumber, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, Redash, K8S, Docker, MinIO, OpenAI, LangChain, Jira, Git (Bitbucket).
