My passion is perception and behavior change marketing that helps communities embrace innovative concepts, for social and economic improvement. I deploy skills honed building global brands for profit, in human development. The effectiveness of digital-led behavior change initiatives conceived under my leadership in the last 3 years have resulted in 3 Effie Gold awards, and Effie ‘Campaign of the Year’ and ‘Marketer of the Year’ accolades. In the last two decades I have lived in Singapore, China, Thailand, India and Sri Lanka, employed in technical-lead and country head roles in WPP and Publicis Groupe communications agencies. Currently in the role of Communications Director at IESC founded YouLead, I lead a team of specialists in impact-oriented, outreach and stakeholder engagement – strategic development, implementation and amplification. For the results I have achieved in accelerating project impact among a wide cross section of Sri Lankans, he was named global runner-up of IESC's Tarek Nabhan International Achievement Award. At YouLead, I was also instrumental in creating the ground breaking ‘The Pekoe Trail’ brand and its communication framework, that has captured the world’s attention. It is currently the single most visible Sri Lankan tourism experience in global travel media. Prior to my current role, I was CEO of Leo Burnett Group Sri Lanka, which was declared ‘Agency of the year’ at Epica awards Sri Lanka edition in 2020, for work on my watch. I’m committed to innovating and future-proofing public and development sector outreach to improve impact.
