As a former Division I college football player, my journey has been one of resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence. Although my dream of playing in the NFL didn’t materialize, I was honored to be invited by the U.S. Olympic Committee to try out for rugby and skeleton for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. For a brief moment, my aspirations to become a professional athlete were reignited. When that path didn’t work out, I shifted my focus to academics, where I discovered a new passion for mathematics and finance.I chose to pursue a degree in financial mathematics, driven by my love for numbers and the realization that the skills, discipline, and mindset I developed as a college athlete seamlessly translate to the finance industry. Today, I apply the same work ethic, critical thinking, and teamwork that defined my athletic career to my professional pursuits.Currently, I’m an active member of 50Five Capital, my school’s hedge fund club, where I contribute as part of the commodities team. This role has deepened my expertise in market analysis and trading strategies, particularly in commodities like natural gas and metals.
