Payroll Manager reporting to the Director of Payroll at Protos Security. Planning, coordinating, and managing the functions of full-cycle multi-state payroll (CA, NY, GA, FL, OR, AL, IA, NC, VA, etc) for 4000+ employees both exempt and non-exempt on a biweekly basis with adherence to strict deadlines.Ensure that payroll data is received, transmitted, and processed on time in a multi-state, multi-payroll frequency, multi-FEIN environment across 27 company codes, direct payroll processing for 8 company codes exempt and non-exempt. Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, coordinating final approval with the VP of Finance prior to processing. Key liaison in implementations for newly acquired companies, managing multiple implementations simultaneously.Ensure results oriented process improvements and coordinate as payroll contact for 27 company codes.Conflict resolution as needed to ensure the smooth functioning of the payroll department and interdepartmental interaction.Implement process improvements for greater efficiency and establishment of best payroll practices to increase accuracy and profitability In-depth development of direct reports with an emphasis on coaching and promoting the growth of talent from within in a feedback based, metrics based model, delegation of duties and performance managementEnsure compliance with garnishments, manage reconciliations, ensure team \cohesiveness through leading interactive meetingsOwnership of the payroll process including oversight of all payroll initiatives with adherence to strict time constraintsDemonstrated excellent customer service as an internal contact for payroll questions, adjustments, and inquiries to multiple stakeholders Coordinate with accounting to ensure payment of tax and payroll service bureau bills, complianceGenerate general ledger interface reports, 401k reports, 409a reports, ad hoc reports as neededHSA and FSA reconciliations, manual fundings, and administration
